Studying construction without inventing an issuer

These initialed and home-use study examples are retained for comparing molds and designs. A mold is the tooling that gives a chip its form and impressed features. A recurring border or symbol can help organize comparisons even when the original customer is unknown.

A mold is one clue among several

Objects can share design or construction features without sharing a casino history. The initials, both faces, the edge, and any surviving paperwork need to be considered together. The photographs permit visual comparison; they do not establish a chemical formula or a manufacturing date.

What this group contributes

The group helps separate visible features from historical attribution. These pieces are not published as casino issues, and their presence beside documented casino chips does not change that status.

Evidence: the collection photographs shown here and the existing object description. Unconfirmed identifications are kept separate from visible markings.
